How can cats get skin infections?
Pinpointing the cause of skin infections is not always easy. There are a lot of ways cats can get skin infections, and they often stem from other skin problems, such as allergies. For example, fleas can cause skin allergies in cats, which can lead to skin infections. Cats’ tendency to get into scrapes with other cats and animals can also lead to infections caused by scratches or bites.
Whether it’s fleas, allergies, cuts, or bacteria that cause a skin infection, your veterinarian will need to do a thorough exam to determine its cause and how best to manage it.
Below are some products that Virbac has developed to aid in the management of skin infections in cats and reduce the signs they cause.
