Dog > Urinary/Bowel
Why is my dog urinating all the time?
It could be that your dog has a urinary tract problem, such as a bladder infection. This can cause pain or discomfort during urination and may eventually lead to stones or solid particles forming in your dog’s urinary tract.
Normally, your dog’s urine is acidic and has a low pH level. If your dog has a urinary problem, its urine can become less acidic and have a high pH level. Your veterinarian may recommend a supplement to lower the pH level of your dog’s urine to help prevent infection-causing bacteria from accumulating in the bladder.
Below are some supplements that Virbac has developed for dogs with urinary deficiencies, as well as those with constipation. If you have questions about any of these products, be sure to talk with your veterinarian. As with any treatment, always listen to your veterinarian’s instructions and read the product label.
